There were a total of 1,82,083 registered voters on the electoral rolls for the 2024 Assembly election in Hisar Assembly constituency, of which 95,772 were male, 86,308 female and 3 of the third gender. In the 2019 Assembly elections, there were a total of 1,65,025 registered voters, of which 87,241 were male, 77,782 female and 2 from the third gender. In 2014 elections, there were a total of 1,55,670 registered voters in this constituency, of which 82,726 were male and 72,944 female. In the 2009 polls, the number of total electors was 1,18,017 which included 64,475 male and 53,542 female voters.

In the 2019 Haryana Assembly elections, Dr. Kamal Gupta of BJP won in this constituency beating Ram Niwas Rara of INC by a margin of 15,832 votes which was 16.06% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Dr Kamal Gupta S/O Manphool Singh of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Savitri Jindal of INC by a margin of 13,646 votes which was 12.51% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Savitri Jindal of INC won this seat defeating Gautam Sardana of IND by a margin of 14,728 votes which was 18.87% of the total votes polled for the seat.
