In the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, Vundavalli Sridevi of YSRCP won in this constituency beating Tenali Sravan Kumar of TDP by a margin of 4,433 votes which was 2.48% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Tenali Sravana Kumar of TDP was the winner in this seat beating Heni Christina Kathera of YSRCP by a margin of 7,542 votes which was 4.73% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Dokka Manikya Vara Prasada Rao of INC won this seat defeating Sravan Kumar Tenali of TDP by a margin of 3,620 votes which was 2.6% of the total votes polled for the seat.
