Demographic profile

There were a total of 2,37,191 registered voters on the electoral rolls for the 2024 Rajampeta Assembly election, of which 1,15,751 were male, 1,21,430 female and 10 of the third gender. In the 2019 Assembly elections, there were a total of 2,22,409 registered voters, of which 1,15,751 were male, 1,13,407 female and 23 of the third gender. In 2014 elections, there were a total of 2,09,991 registered voters in this constituency, of which 1,01,580 were male, 1,08,388 female and 23 of the third gender. In the 2009 polls, the number of total electors was 1,85,475 which included 88,318 male, and 97,157 female.

In the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, Meda Venkata Mallikarjuna Reddy of YSRCP won in this constituency beating Bathyala Changal Rayudu of TDP by a margin of 35,272 votes which was 21.4% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Meda Venkata Mallikarjuna Reddy of TDP was the winner in this seat beating Amarnath Reddy Akepati of YSRCP by a margin of 11,617 votes which was 7.03% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Amaranath Reddy Akepati of INC won this seat defeating Madan Mohan Reddy K of TDP by a margin of 12,342 votes which was 8.92% of the total votes polled for the seat.
