In the 2019 Assembly elections, there were a total of 2,06,915 registered voters, of which 1,10,101 were male, 1,02,392 female and 19 of the third gender. In the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, Kangati Sreedevi of YSRCP won in this constituency beating K E Shyam Kumar of TDP by a margin of 42,065 votes which was 24.92% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Kambalapadu Ediga Krishna Murthy of TDP was the winner in this seat beating Kotla Hari Chakrapani Reddy of YSRCP by a margin of 7,899 votes which was 5.02% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Kambalapadu Edige Prabhakar of TDP won this seat defeating S V Chandra Mohan Reddy of INC by a margin of 9,972 votes which was 7.27% of the total votes polled for the seat.
