In the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, Kangati Sreedevi of YSRCP won in this constituency beating K E Shyam Kumar of TDP by a margin of 42,065 votes which was 24.92% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Kambalapadu Ediga Krishna Murthy of TDP was the winner in this seat beating Kotla Hari Chakrapani Reddy of YSRCP by a margin of 7,899 votes which was 5.02% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Kambalapadu Edige Prabhakar of TDP won this seat defeating S V Chandra Mohan Reddy of INC by a margin of 9,972 votes which was 7.27% of the total votes polled for the seat.
